Jesus is Master

Over EVERYTHING.

Jesus Speaks and Stuff happens.

Over the physical. Over all things seen. Over Creation. Jesus Speaks and Creation listens, and is obedient. Raging Storms stop in seconds. Read the Story in MARK 4:35-41

 Over the spiritual. Over all things unseen. Over evil & demons. Jesus speaks and the demons listen and are obedient. Evil sees Jesus and knows exactly who he is. And they're afraid. Afraid because they know his true identity as Master, they know they're not on his side. Read the Story in MARK 5:1-20

 Over Death. Jesus speaks, and even death is obedient to the Master. Death cannot stop, hold back or defeat Jesus. Read the Story in MARK 5:21ff

In the good news as Mark tells is we see the amazing ways Jesus demonstrates that he is Master over all things seen, all things unseen and death. That means Jesus is Master over everything. And that includes us. You and Me. There can't be more than one Master. It's either you or Jesus. We often put ourselves in the centre of the universe, we often kid ourselves to thinking we are in control. But we're not God and we're not the Master.

So the questions today are: When Jesus, Master over everything, speaks do you listen? When Jesus, Master over everything, speaks are you obedient?

Romans 10:9-13 (Friday Nights)

9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Mid Week Antics

Year 6-8 meet on Sunday mornings during our 10am Service at St Andrews Lane Cove. 

Year 9 - 12 meet on WEDNESDAY afternoons after school until 5:30pm at St Andrews Lane Cove.
